Hi all! I’m oh so happy to say that I have finished my Spring Mini Capsule using only Made for Mermaids and Patterns for Pirates patterns. I started this endeavor on March 28th, technically the day before I posted my capsule plans. I finished the last item on April 8th – two days before the end of the contest. I am really pleased by this, I was sure there was no way it was possible in the two week time frame!
My finished capsule is as follows:
- Two Mama Claire’s
- Mama Ava
- Cross My Heart (CMH)
- Cocoon Cardi
- Mama Chloe
- Long Pegs
- Short Pegs
- Siren Swim Top
Outfits that I’ve already worn out and about in this process are:
- Grey Claire with CMH and RTW leggings
- Watercolor Claire with Cocoon and Long Pegs
- Short Pegs and Siren Swim – to pole!
- Not technically an outfit, but around 20 minutes after I finished Ava, I put it on and ate a very late, very needed dinner. It went well with a teal RTW cocoon-style cardigan I already owned.
I know it seems weird to have a bra and short-shorts in a capsule. But considering I wear them roughly three times a week, it’s a staple in my wardrobe. My sports-bra-drawer runnith over. So of course that means I needed more! I can tell I’m going to enjoy making sports bras that actually fit me and keep everything in place while inverting.
The only item I haven’t worn out is Chloe. It’s still a little too cold to wear the Chloe outside. I ventured out for pictures in the little bits of sun that have started penetrating the neverending gray here. I’m looking forward to late spring when it will be a more viable wardrobe option.
I wish I could’ve included Isabel (fabric came in Saturday night, so it would’ve been doable…if I wasn’t already finished with the capsule). I am still very excited to make it, since I think I got the perfect fabric:
