Happy New Year! First sweater FO of 2017, of a planned seven (minimum).
- Pattern: Textured Pullover, Project Page
- Yarn: The Plucky Knitter Primo Worsted in Haberdasher
- Size: 43.5
- Needle size: US7
- Modifications:
- Monochrome instead of striped.
- I had too many stitches on each sleeve for some reason so I just started the decreases ~2″ early. Did the ribbing right after the end of the decreases (like normal) and they’re slightly long.
- Comments:
- I could have probably gone down a size, but I have the amount of ease (2-4″) called for in pattern. I think the stripes/texture would’ve gotten weirdly modified if it was tighter, so I’m pleased on my size choice.
- Stitch pattern grows a lot lengthwise. Instead of knitting for 15.25″ before starting the ribbing, I started at an unstretched 12.5″. I put it on and was like OKAY YEAH RIBBING SOON, and am glad I did.
- This yarn is freaking amazing. A+ would knit with again. (Thanks Amanda and Andrea! not like I didn’t already have expensive tastes 😛) I did alternate skeins though, and if I look really hard I can tell, but that’s only when I’m about to smoosh it against my face so I don’t mind.
